Vintage petite writing desk

What were you doing in 1965 ? ( I was 1 year old ) This is when this beautiful little bureau was made. Manufactured by 'Remploy', a UK government-sponsored initiative founded in 1949 to provide employment opportunities for people with disabilities. The mid century teak writing desk has been updated and brought back to life. Finished in a lovely teal satin with decoupage applied to the inside of the cabinet which compliments it beautifully, the gold detail sets it off nicely. The original gold metal handles have been retained. Truly one of a kind, the petite bureau will enhance that little space you don't know what to do with.
